The Office environment of Equity, Variety and Inclusion (OEDI) is excited to announce the 2nd cohort of equitable and inclusive management (EIL) interns. 6 graduate university student leaders will be part of their EIL application this winter 2024. The EIL system was intended to support the progress of equitable pathways and academic pipelines for the upcoming era of engaged scholar students fully commited to justice, pluralism, and far more inclusive larger instruction and communities. Immediately after a effective start of the software, and an outstanding EIL cohort in 2023, the OEDI is delighted to welcome the 2024 cohort.  

For the duration of their internships, learners will acquire arms-on expertise in how to conceptualize, advance, and put into action equity, range, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA). The interns will be doing work directly with, and getting mentorship from, OEDI group associates to guidance initiatives in EDIA-related study, policy advancement, party planning and implementation, and local community engagement. Tsion Berie (she/her)
Cumming College of Drugs

Tsion Berie is interested in supporting the overall health and education alternatives for under-represented teams. She is actively engaged in her Ethiopian and Eritrean communities and focused to supporting youth in attaining equal obtain to engineering and programming. Now serving as the artist in home at the Women’s Centre, Berie employs spoken phrase and oil painting to aid some others in overcoming conflict and adversity. Influenced by Dr. Gregor’s work on the impact of synthetic intelligence and know-how on marginalized populations, Berie is eager to pursue EDIA analysis and practices to deal with these challenges.

Assad Ali Bik (he/him)
Werklund University of Instruction

Assad Ali Bik, a graduate university student at the Werklund College of Training, focuses on the intersection of newcomer youth, athletics, and leadership development. As a 1st-technology immigrant from Afghanistan, he discovered the benefit of management through sports activities in Canada. Molly Clare (she/her)

A committed volunteer, Molly has served as a victims’ advocate for more than 3 years and co-established the MRU Justice Advocates club. Shena Kaul (she/her)
