The U of A’s SEC Tutorial Leadership Advancement Application Fellows not too long ago visited the University of Missouri in Columbia for the program’s second workshop to hook up with other tutorial leaders across the Southeastern Meeting. The 1st SEC leadership workshop was held in Oct at Texas A&M University.
The U of A’s 2023-24 SEC ALDP Fellows had been introduced in the fall and involve Judith Anne Garretson Folse, chair of the Office of Advertising and marketing in the Sam M. Walton University of Enterprise Adriana Gonzalez, associate dean for analysis and understanding for the College Libraries Michael Hevel, associate dean for investigate, strategy and outreach in the College of Training and Well being Professions and Romona West, assistant dean of inclusive excellence and strategic initiatives for Fulbright School of Arts and Sciences.
These fellows, along with Vice Provost for School Affairs Anna Zajicek, frequented the College of Missouri Feb. 21-23 for a two-day workshop aimed at providing advancement and leadership options to people today recognized as tutorial leaders in just their establishments and the SEC.

The workshop started off with a welcome reception and dinner on Wednesday evening at the Point out Historic Society of Missouri. University of Missouri’s Affiliate Provost for School Success Candace Kuby gave remarks throughout the reception.
The following day started with breakfast at the College of Missouri’s Memorial Union with a welcome message from SEC Associate Commissioner for Academic Relations LeNá McDonald. Following breakfast, attendees attended classes highlighting the MizzouForward application, interactions with the media, a leadership panel and authorities relations.
Attendees also toured the campus and frequented the Missouri Athletics Education Sophisticated. In the afternoon, the ALDP Fellows participated in a session that centered on producing championship society, psychological overall health traits and scholar-athlete profession placement. The day finished with a reception and meal at the Reynolds Alumni Middle, wherever Matthew Martins, University of Missouri’s interim provost and government vice chancellor for academic affairs, gave remarks.
The final day of the workshop featured a session on school progress packages. The workshop ended with a closing ceremony, in which Chris Haas, University of Florida liaison and affiliation commissioner, and LeNá McDonald identified the SEC ALDP Fellows.
In addition to the the latest workshop at the University of Missouri and the workshop held at Texas A&M University last Oct, the SEC ALDP also features a college-degree development system developed by every institution for its fellows and a competitive alumni fellowship that offers previous fellows with more improvement chances.
